A holy glass - a common glass
In configuring the outer wall of "Christ's Room", a film with a soundproofing mechanism was used to bond the marble and glass (laminated). This measure not only created a delicate light effect on the marble and dramatic ambiance of the space, it also allowed for other considerable benefits in regards to cost, strength, durability and weather proofing. In order to avoid glaring, great care was taken not to over-polish the marble, which was finished to a smooth surface. For the glass, a glass with high permeability is employed so that the color of the glass itself does not show. The marbled glass is attached with stainless steel fittings using DPG technology. Because there were no legal restrictions regarding this sort of "marbled glass technology" in Germany, a number of tests, including full-size testing, needed to be conducted to validate its strength. Furthermore, under the assumption that it would be dismantled after the World's Fair, a black Sipro Parts resin was employed for the seams of the panels, but silicon sealing was used in the reconstruction at Volkenroda.

On the other hand, in the cloister section which features assorted objects placed between two panes of glass, tempered glass was incorporated. The window sash was designed with a mechanism that allows the width to be adjusted according to change in thickness caused by the elements that fill the glass.
